International ceramic artist Angela Mellor has now taken over the well established contemporary art gallery, previously run by Ronald Pile, in the historic heart of Ely (15 miles north of Cambridge).
Situated in a beautifully converted 17th century house, close to the cathedral, the light and sophisticated gallery environment on the ground floor now hosts up to 6 well-researched exhibitions throughout the year.
The program specializes in showing leading International and UK artists as well as local artists work. The main focus is on ceramics, jewellery, glass and textiles.
As well as the fine Romanesque cathedral, there are now galleries, restaurants and riverside walks to enjoy on a day out in Ely. The unique character of the Fenland landscape can be inspirational.
The gallery is CLOSED now until 11th May 2008 for mounting the new exhibition.
